Matthew Doyle
Chiropodist and Owner
Matthew loves sports, fitness and nutrition. He has a special interest in sports rehabilitation and lower limb injuries. Engaging in physical activity has allowed Matthew to become a subject matter expert on shoes, biomechanics and orthotics.
Matthew Doyle DCh, BSc (Hons) is a Chiropodist at Tri-City Foot and Orthotics Clinic. Matthew has always had a vast interest in helping people and he used his undergraduate in Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo as the stepping stone to Chiropody. Matthew graduated from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in the Chiropody program. During his time at Michener, Matthew learned extensive clinic knowledge at Michener Chiropody Clinic as well as at Sherbourne Hospital.
Matthew has worked at a range of health centres over the past few years, including: The Anne Johnston Health Centre, Flemingdon Health Centre, Fairview Health Centre, the Niagara Foot Clinic, and the Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre (KDCHC). During his time at the KDCHC he delivered a variety of Diabetic Foot Education seminars and frequently gives back to the community by providing foot care at St. Johns Homeless Shelter.

Aqsa Gul
DCh, BSc (Hons) - Associate Chiropodist
Aqsa is a Chiropodist at the Royal City Foot Clinic. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, where she pursued a degree in Biology. Soon after, Aqsa enrolled in the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute. In addition to working at the Royal City Foot Clinic, Aqsa has gained extensive hands-on experience through her work at the Waterloo Foot Clinic, Niagara Foot Clinic, and the Michener Chiropody Clinic.
Aqsa has always enjoyed working with the elderly and has taken a great interest in the medical profession from a young age. She began exploring the medical field in high school where she volunteered at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Revera Retirement Home. She continued to volunteer and work at a range of clinical settings throughout university. After learning about Chiropody in 3rd year of university and realizing this profession fulfills all her interests, Aqsa pursued Chiropody right after completing her bachelor’s degree. Aqsa obtains the knowledge and skill to assess and treat all foot concerns, ranging from general foot care to invasive procedures. She continues to learn about new advances in the field of Chiropody and incorporate it into her clinical setting.
In her free time, Aqsa enjoys painting, hiking, and trying out new food cuisines. You may also occasionally find her chasing after her cat outside, who loves to sneak out. Aqsa would love to hear about your foot concerns and looks forward to providing you the care you need.
Allen Frankel
Podiatric Surgeon
Allen is a devoted husband and a father of two beautiful daughters. He enjoys playing sports and traveling. With more than 30 years of experience in the field of podiatry, he is an expert on podiatric surgery and foot care.
Allen Frankel began his training at the University of Toronto, after which he attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, for four years where he received a DPM degree, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, in 1984.
Allen went on to complete a Surgical Residency program at Warminster General Hospital, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he acquired his expertise in Laser as well as Minimal Incision Surgery (MIS). During this time, he also participated in the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University Sports Medicine Clinics (where the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers are treated). Other prestigious titles Allen has received include his Associate Member status in the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons (ABPS) and the American College of Foot Surgeons (ACFAS). Allen has been a leading candidate in the field of minimal incision surgery for correction of bunions and hammertoes, but his extensive training in various procedures also allows him to perform open procedures as needed.
Once returning to the Toronto area, Allen founded Markham Podiatry in 1985 and had actively served the needs of this community for over 30+ years. During this time, Allen continued his advanced training, and helped bring surgical procedures and treatment protocols into the forefront of foot care in Ontario.
Allen also served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Podiatric Medical Association. Allen also completed a six-year term on Council at the Provincial College, of which among other things, he chaired the Disciplines Committee and presided as President of the College in his final year.
In his spare time, Allen is busy raising his two beautiful daughters and sailing to exotic locales around the world with his lovely wife Francine. When not on foreign soil, Allen still finds time to perfect his squash and basketball games on local courts.
Joyce Li
DCh, BSc (Hons) - Associate Chiropodist
Joyce Li is a licensed chiropodist at Waterloo Foot Clinic. After finishing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, Joyce went on to study Chiropody at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto. She has gained valuable clinical experience through the Michener Chiropody Clinic, Wilson Health Services, Waterloo Foot Clinic and Royal City Foot Clinic.
Growing up with her grandparents, Joyce has seen first hand how ageing affects the feet and mobility of the body. She is dedicated to providing exceptional care with a holistic approach to prevent, treat, and alleviate any foot issues of each individual that comes into our office. She is committed to being up to date with all treatment options and providing informative advice and education.
Outside of work, you can find Joyce at a dog park with her chihuahua terrier Tippy, camping and hiking at a provincial park, working out at the gym or finding the next aesthetically pleasing café to sip coffee in. She is looking forward to meeting you at our clinic.
Juliana Coles
Footcare Nurse Westmount
Juliana Coles, RPN, is an Advanced and Diabetic Foot Care Nurse. She has a strong passion for healthy and happy feet. She is a nursing graduate of Conestoga College and following graduation received her Foot Care Specialization. While gaining extensive experience in providing footcare to clients in Long Term Care and Retirement Home facilities across Waterloo Region, Juliana also owned a Home Based Footcare company of her own!
When the pandemic began, Juliana turned in response to a nursing position with Waterloo Region Public Health Vaccine and Preventable Disease Program. Having previously worked for the Region as a Lifeguard, and living in this community all her life, she considers it an honor to care for the Region’s citizens. Juliana enjoys time spent at her ‘home away from home’; the family cottage in the Kawarthas. She Lifeguarded here for several summers, taking a special interest in being a Swimming Instructor to children on the autism spectrum. Seeing her students develop in their love of the water and achieve goals they never thought possible was most rewarding. The Kawarthas also brought Juliana another great love by meeting her amazing husband there!
Time well spent for Juliana means relaxing with her loved ones around a campfire. Her husband, Clay, is an aspiring Firefighter and is known for his love of bringing others together around the campfire. You will also find Juliana tending to her garden and being adventurous in her love of cooking and baking. Juliana is excited to meet and provide care for her clients at Waterloo Foot Clinic. She values the gift of mobility and sees foot care as a healthy lifestyle choice. She prides herself in a thorough and caring approach. Bringing to her position a strong skill set including relief from painful ingrowns, warts, fungal nails, corns, callouses and more. She hopes others will remember that their feet are a masterpiece to be handled with care.
Michael Wong
DCh, BSc (Hons) - Associate Chiropodist
Michael Wong D.Ch, B.Kin is a Registered Chiropodist at Waterloo Foot Clinic Uptown. Born and raised in Toronto, Michael possesses a deep appreciation for the healthcare field, notably from the care he received as a competitive swimmer and rugby player. Striving to help others, he would pursue further education at the University of Toronto, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology.
Throughout his undergraduate years, Michael was able to balance academics with athletics, competing for Varsity Blues Men's Rugby team. At the same time he was fortunate to work in a clinical placement opportunity alongside sport physicians and other specialist in the esteemed David L. Macintosh Sport Medicine Clinic. It was here where Michael was inspired by one of his mentor's mottos- "you do not have to be a world-class athlete to receive world-class care. This motivated him to strive for the best care possible to everyone and anyone.
Following his undergraduate degree, Michael then pursued advanced training at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, expanding his scope of knowledge to include clinical pharmacology, podiatric medicine and soft tissue surgery. He would apply and hone his chiropody skills working in inpatient care units and complex care teams at Toronto Grace and Toronto Rehabilitation Hospitals as well as the Waterloo Foot Clinic, where Michael would ultimately find his love for the tri-city region. Michael is grateful for the warm welcome from the tri-city community, and is thrilled to serve people from all walks of life in order to get them back on their feet again.
When not providing services at the uptown location, Michael could be found hiking trails and birdwatching, portaging over beaver dams at Algonquin Park, or looking for the perfect sunset alongside his fiancée.
Victoria Martin
Clinic & Regional Manager
Victoria Martin is the Office Manager of Waterloo Foot Clinic and Regional
Manager of Waterloo. She wants everyone to feel welcomed to the clinic and strives for patients to not only meet but exceed their expectations from our services.
She was born in a small city in Patagonia, Argentina and finally moved to Canada in 2019, where she was pleasantly surprised about the beautiful trails and lakes from the region. She is passionate about nutrition, yoga, and helping others. Back in Argentina, she obtained a Diploma as a Nutrition and Food Technician and has been interested in the relationship between nutrition, fitness, and mental health. This year, she became a Yoga instructor and loves sharing the benefits of it with others.
Victoria speaks Spanish, English and a bit of Italian and in her free time enjoys gardening, cooking, biking and spending time with her pets Molly and Thor.
Serra
Clinical Office Manager Waterloo - Uptown
Serra is the Clinic Manager of Waterloo Foot Clinic-Uptown location. She graduated from University of Waterloo with a degree in Honours Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Spanish. Previously, she gained experience in customer service while working in a cancer treatment centre. She also volunteered as a Thrive (Health) ambassador where she promoted mental wellness across the University of Waterloo campus.
Serra has a strong knowledge of operations within healthcare facilities. She also speaks Italian, Spanish, Turkish, English and a bit of Portuguese. She is excited to use her skills in these areas to provide high quality services for patients and improve their Waterloo Foot Clinic experience.
Sindhuja Putta
Clinical Supervisor - Westmount
Sindhuja is a clinical assistant/ supervisor (BOH) , she did her bachelor of physiotherapy, moved to Canada, and did a post graduation diploma in Healthcare administration and service management in 2021. Sindhu has experience in both hospital and clinical settings since 2020, she assists patients with therapeutic modalities, compression fittings, and maintaining the flow of the clinic.
Apart from that, likes to binge watch series and movies, loves to travel and explore currently looking for good beaches for summer close to Waterloo
Sindhu believes in patient care will excellent when we work in team, not a single person job, team working effectively means clinic is running smoothly both back and front, and team should be prepared to face everything and anything with positive attitude while maintaining professionalism.

Felix Yong is a licensed Chiropodist at Waterloo Foot Clinic. He holds an undergraduate degree in Honours Science from the University of Waterloo and completed his advanced studies in Chiropody at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto. Felix has gained extensive clinical experience at the
Michener Chiropody Clinic, Waterloo Foot Clinic, and Woolwich Community Health Center.
Felix's passion for Chiropody was sparked by his own experience with foot pain while training for competitive swimming and basketball. Understanding the impact of foot health on overall performance and wellness, he is committed to providing comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Felix takes a holistic approach, exploring a wide range of treatment options to ensure the best
possible outcomes. His dedication to staying current with the latest advancements in foot care reflects his commitment to delivering exceptional care.
Outside of work, Felix enjoys playing the piano and ukulele, trying out new activities like pickleball with friends, singing along to carpool karaoke, and going for trail walks. Katie Fulton
DCh, BSc (Hons) - Associate Chiropodist
Katie Fulton is a licensed Chiropodist at Royal City Foot Clinic and Waterloo Foot Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences with Honours Specialization in Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University before advancing her studies in Chiropody at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto. Katie has furthered her passion for foot health and has garnered extensive clinical experience through her work at the Michener Chiropody Clinic, and various foot clinics in the KW area.
Katie’s fascination with healthcare began early, driven by a desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Katie’s journey into Chiropody was inspired by her personal experiences with foot issues and her keen interest in how foot health impacts overall well-being. Her approach to care is both comprehensive and personalized, focusing on addressing the unique needs of each patient.
